So if I use the search facility it won't find any however Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan is perfect and not a problem. I have searched for other subtitle files and swapped them in but still no joy. I have the VIP OpenSubtitles plugin set and in my scheduled tasks run my subs update every 2 hours

Of those 3 english subs there, one is likely forced subtitle (only non-English spoken parts are subbed), one is likely full subs and one is likely HI/SDH/HoH (Hearing Impaired/Subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing/Hard of hearing), which is basically same as full subs with addition of Closed Captions like [Phone ringing] or [Music plays] and such, you get the idea.

Anyway, in your case, I'd name forced subs as .en.forced.ext, HI subs as .en.ext and full subs as .en.default.ext (default tag is not subtitle-type-related tag, it only tells the player that that sub should be selected by default when playing media) or only .ext (no language code so it'd show as "Und" in your subtitle list). That way you'd have all three subs listed in subtitle dropdown to choose.

The Secretary of the Air Force shall require that access by military training instructors and other training personnel to a living area in which recruits are housed during basic training shall be limited after the end of the training day, other than in the case of an emergency or other exigent circumstance, to military training instructors and other training personnel who are of the same sex as the recruits housed in that living area or to superiors in the chain of command of those recruits who, if not of the same sex as the recruits housed in that living area, are accompanied by a member (other than a recruit) who is of the same sex as the recruits housed in that living area.

A brazen Russian recruitment video targeting American citizens comes as both Russia and Ukraine prepare massive offensives after a slow but violent winter. Russia is placing its hopes in tens of thousands of new conscripts as it aims to turn the tide of a so-far failing war in neighboring Ukraine.

In the minute-and-a-half video clip that's been circling social media in recent days, a thick-accented Russian voice seems to speak directly to disillusioned American vets as Russian subtitles roll over images of US warfare and global chaos.

A spokesperson with the US State Department on Monday confirmed to Insider that Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of the Wagner Group and a longtime Putin ally, had claimed responsibility for the recruitment video.

The video, which first began circulating last week, comes amid reports that Wagner has stopped recruiting prisoners as increasing numbers refuse to join a suicide mission. Prigozhin confirmed that Wagner had ceased its efforts in a Thursday Telegram statement.

According to Amazon, there are over 7,000 books about recruiting. Since at the rate of one book per day it would take almost 20 years to read them all, I thought it might be useful to winnow the list down to the must-read essentials.

Why it's a must-read: Yes, this book is about baseball recruiting, but it contains the key to hiring effective teams without paying money for superstars. It's also a fun and easy read, even if you're not all that into baseball.

Why it's a must-read: This book is directed towards hiring managers rather than recruiters. However, since recruiters must often coach hiring managers on how to make good decisions, this serves as a "train the trainer" manual.

Why it's a must-read: Adler approaches hiring from the perspective of a long-time recruiter who has seen recruiting undergo massive change. He believes that hiring practices need to be systematic in order to adapt to those changes. His approach is thorough and straightforward.

Why it's a must-read: The authors of this somewhat mysteriously named book conducted extensive research into how human resources department function effectively inside corporations. The result is not only eye-opening, it's practically a manifesto on why recruiters have never been more valuable than they are in today's slightly crazy corporate world.

With businesses using web video for marketing, communication, recruitment, and training, subtitles are becoming an essential part of video production. Companies based in or conducting business in the United Kingdom cannot neglect this step in pre-recorded video.

Keep in mind that deaf and hard of hearing employees are not the only ones who might require subtitles. Employees with ADD, autism, or learning disorders may require subtitles as a reasonable adjustment.

Beyond the threat of web accessibility lawsuits, there are plenty of positive reasons for businesses to subtitle videos. Subtitles make web videos more engaging and accessible, leading to more viewers and longer watch times.

Add to that the fact that Twitter and Facebook auto-play native videos on mute, so subtitles vastly improve video performance on those platforms. One study even found that subtitles on Facebook ad videos increased view time by 12%.

Netflix currently uses third party vendors to recruit translators, but says a lack of consistent quality standards makes this method less than perfect. The company hopes by issuing one test, it will be able to better gauge the skill level of its subtitle translators.
